The title compound was made in a similar way as that of the intermediate B1, starting from 4-bromo-3-(hydroxymethyl)-1H-isochromen-1-one (Intermediate A1, 0.8 g, 3.14 mmol), phenylboronic acid (0.467 g, 3.83 mmol), Pd(PPh3)4 (0.181 g, 0.379 mmol) and Cs2CO3 (3.29 g, 10.11 mmol) to afford the title compound (210 mg, 36%).
