To a solution of (3-tert-butyl-2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)chlorodimethylsilane (5.24 g) synthesized in the above (3) and tetrahydrofuran (50 ml), tetramethylcyclopentadienyl lithium (2.73 g) was added at −35° C. and the mixture was heated to room temperature over 2 hours, followed by stirring at room temperature for 10 hours.
