A solution of N-(3-amino-5-pyrrol-1-yl-phenyl)acetamide of Example 87(d) (5.0 g, 18.72 mmol), 1-fluoro-4-iodo-2-nitrobenzene (4.02 g, 18.72 mmol, 1.0 eq.) and potassium fluoride (1.08 g, 18.72 mmol, 1.0 eq.) in DMF (30 ml) was heated at 130° C. for 5 h. The mixture was quenched and extracted as in Example 1(d). The solvent was distilled off and the residue was purified by column chromatography (60-120 silica gel, 50% ethyl acetate in hexane) to give the product in 49% yield (4.3 g).
