The foregoing oxadiazole (135 mg, 0.00039 mol) was stirred with trifluoroacetic acid (0.18 mL, 0.0024 mol) in dichloromethane (6 mL) for 24 hours. The hydrogen oxalate salt had mp 134°-135° C. (propan-2-ol). Rf=0.78 in dichloromethane/methanol (9:1) on alumina plates. Mass Spectrum, m/z 242 for M+ of free base. (Found: C, 53.87; H, 4.90; N, 16.52. C13H14N4O. C2H2O4 requires C, 54.21; H, 4.85; N, 16.86%).
