A mixture of 3-azido-3-(6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)propan-1-ol (7.29 g, 29.6 mmol), ethyl acetate (320 mL), and 10% Pd—C (3.2 g) was stirred under H2 (1 atm) overnight. The catalyst was filtered off and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to yield the title product.
