A solution of 5-[4-(2-aminoethyl)-2-benzyloxyphenyl]-1,1-dioxo-2-(2-trimethylsilanylethyl)-1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one (0.266 g, 0.46 mmol) (Example 67, step A) and diisopropylethylamine (0.177 mL, 1.02 mmol) in a minimum amount of CH2Cl2 is added dropwise over a period of 30 min to triphosgene (0.051 g, 0.17 mmol) dissolved in CH2Cl2 (10 mL). This solution is used directly in the next step.
