Procedure

In a manner similar to that of Example 1 (C), 4.55 g (35.5 mmol) of 1,4,7-triazacyclononane and 4.20 g of dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal were reacted to give 4.33 g (88%) clear, colorless liquid, bp 79°-80° (2.6mm).
