The above compound was prepared from 2-[7,8dihydro9-(4-pyridyl)-6H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]indole-2-yloxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid ethylester by alkaline hydrolysis using a procedure analogous to that of Example 66. When the aqueous alkaline solution was acidified with 2N hydrochloric acid, the hydrochloride precipitated, which was then recrystillzed from ethanol.
