Procedure

A mixture of Example 19H (0.64 g, 1.653 mmol), 1-bromo-2-chloroethane (0.206 mL, 2.479 mmol), and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (0.374 mL, 2.479 mmol) in N,N-dimethylacetamide (8 mL) was heated at 100° C. for 20 hours, cooled and partitioned with ethyl acetate and 1 M aqueous HCl. The organic layer was washed with brine twice, dried with sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated. Purification on a 40 g silica cartridge eluting with 1-2% methanol in dichloromethane provided the title compound as a solid (0.139 g, 19%). MS (ESI+) m/z 449/451 (M+H)+.
