A mixture of N-(1-benzyl-1H-indazol-4-yl)-6-vinylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxamide (63 mg; 0.16 mmol), osmium tetroxide (0.008 mmol; 2.5% solution in t-butanol) and N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (21 mg; 0.18 mmol) in acetone/water (3:2; 1 mL) was stirred at ambient temperature for 24 hours. Additional osmium tetroxide was added (250 μL of a 2.5% solution in t-butanol) and the mixture was stirred for an additional 24 hours. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and solids were isolated by filtration. The material was purified by reverse phase chromatography (acetonitrile/water) to give the desired product as a solid (3.6 mg). MS (APCI), m/z=428.2 (M+H).
