To a solution of EXAMPLE 350B (23 g) in tetrahydrofuran (150 mL) was added lithium aluminum hydride (3.11 g). The mixture was stirred overnight. Aqueous 2N NaOH solution was added dropwise to the reaction mixture. The mixture was then diluted with ethyl acetate (600 mL) and washed with water, brine and dried over Na2SO4. Filtration and evaporation of the solvent gave the crude product which was loaded on a 600 g analogies column and eluted with 10% to 20% ethyl acetate in hexane to provide the title compound.
