To a solution of methyl 3-cyclopropyl-3-(3-((5-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)-6-neopentylpyridin-2-yl)methoxy)phenyl)propanoate (90 mg) in THF (2.0 mL) and methanol (1.0 mL) was added 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (2.0 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hr. 1N Hydrochloric acid (2.0 mL) was added to the reaction mixture at 0° C., and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate.
