To a solution of ethyl (2E)-3-(6-((6-(2,2-dimethylpropyl)-5-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)pyridin-2-yl)methoxy)-5-fluoropyrimidin-4-yl)acrylate (300 mg) in THF (2.0 mL) and ethyl acetate (2.0 mL) was added 10% palladium-activated carbon (30 mg) and, under a hydrogen atmosphere, the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hr. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (300 mg) as a pale-yellow solid.
