To a solution of ethyl 3-cyclopropyl-3-(6-((6-(2-fluoro-5-methoxyphenyl)-5-isobutoxypyridin-3-yl)methoxy)pyrimidin-4-yl)propanoate (890 mg) in THF (5.0 mL) and methanol (2.5 mL) was added 1N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (5.0 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. 1N Hydrochloric acid (5.0 mL) was added to the reaction mixture at room temperature, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. After silica gel filtration, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the obtained crude crystals were recrystallized (ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (688 mg) as a white solid.
