A mixture of 3-methoxy-4-(2-methyl-1,3-oxazol-5-yl)benzohydrazide (4.10 g), 3,4-difluorophenylacetic acid (3.15 g), HATU (7.57 g) and triethylamine (2.77 mL) in DMF (77 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 16 hr. Water was added to the reaction mixture, and the resultant precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with hexane and acetone to give the title compound (4.69 g).
