Procedure
To a vial is added 3-(8-carbamoyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-[1,8]naphthyridin-3-yl)-5-fluoro-isonicotinic acid potassium salt (100 mg, 0.28 mmol) in 2 ml of DMF, followed by the addition of iodomethane (48 mg, 0.34 mmol) and potassium carbonate (47 mg, 0.34 mmol). The reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature for 18 hours. The reaction mixture is concentrated in vacuo. The residue is diluted with EtOAc, washed with water, brine, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to give the crude product. Purification by the flash column chromatography affords 28 mg of the titled product.
