Procedure
A mixture of 5-(piperazin-1-yl)-3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)-1,2,4-thiadiazole (19.1 mg, 75.0 μmol), 1-(chloromethyl)-2-methylbenzene (31.6 mg, 225 μmol) and DIPEA (96.9 mg, 131 μL, 750 μmol) in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (1 mL) was heated under microwave irradiation for 10 min at 180° C. The resulting reaction solution was purified by preparative HPLC on reversed phase eluting with a gradient formed from acetonitrile, water and NEt3 to yield, after evaporation of the product containing fractions 13 mg (48%) of the title compound. MS (m/e): 359.2 (MH+).
