A mixture of compound 39a (0.20 g, 0.44 mmol), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (0.20 g, 2.9 mmol) and sodium carbonate (0.20 g, 1.9 mmol,) in ethanol (4 mL) was stirred at 80° C. for 1 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to rt, and the solids formed were collected by filtration and washed with Et2O (2×30 mL) to obtain compound 42a as a yellow solid. Mass Spectrum (LCMS, ESI pos.): Calcd. for C27H22N8O2: 491.2 (M+H). Found: 491.2.
