A 2M LiOH solution (1.2 mL) was added to a solution of 3-[4-(4-methylperhydro-1,4-diazepin-1-yl)phenyl]-4-oxo-3,4-dihydrothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester (477.8 mg) in THF (5 mL) and water (5 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 h. The solvent was then removed in vacuo and the crude product was purified by preparative HPLC. The product with the molecular weight of 384.45 (C19H20N4O3S) was obtained in this way; MS (ESI): 385 (M+H+).
