The mixture consisting of 200 mg of N-[4-(5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-[1,2,4]oxadiazol-3-yl)-2-trifluoromethoxyphenyl]acetamide, 10 ml of methanol and 0.5 ml of a 4M solution of hydrochloric acid in dioxane was stirred at room temperature for 15 hours. After concentrating the volatile fractions on a rotary evaporator, a yellowish oil remains.
