A solution of EXAMPLE 1H (0.200 g, 0.587 mmol) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was treated with triethylamine (0.245 mL, 1.76 mmol) and 4-fluoro-3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride (prepared according to the procedure described in U.S. patent applicaiton Ser. No. 09/957,256, 0.169 g, 0.704 mmol), stirred overnight, and concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography eluting with 40% ethyl acetate in hexanes to provide the desired product. MS (ESI) m/e 543 (M+H)+.
