Procedure
To a solution of 3-benzyl-1-hydroxymethyl-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane in ethyl acetate were added triethylamine (2.15 gm, 0.02125 mole) and methane sulphonylchloride (1.947 gm, 0.017 mole). The mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1 hour. The reaction was quenched by the addition of saturated NaHCO3. The separated organic layer was washed with water, brine, dried and evaporated to give the crude product, which was used as such for further reaction.
