Using a procedure analogous to that used to prepare 1B, 2B (212 mg, 1:1 mixture of 2B and 2A) was reacted with benzyl bromide to afford 2C (90 mg, 69%) as a white solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.92 (m, 2H), 2.33 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 2H), 2.62 (t, 2H), 5.08 (s, 2H), 7.11 (d, 2H), 7.25-7.35 (m, 5H), 7.69 (d, 2H).
