A solution of EXAMPLE 20D (1.5 g, 7.1 mmol) in pyridine (5 mL) and N,N-dimethylformamide (20 mL) was treated with 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole (1.4 g, 8.5 mmol) at 40° C. for 30 minutes. 2,3-Diaminobenzamide dihydrochloride (synthesized as described in U.S. Pat. No. 6,737,421, column 11, EXAMPLE 2, step (e), 1.58 g, 7.1 mmol) was added and the mixture stirred at ambient temperature overnight. Solvents were removed and the residue suspended in 10 mL of acetic acid. The mixture was stirred at 80° C. overnight, cooled, and concentrated and the residue was purified by flash chromatography using ethyl acetate to give the title compound (500 mg, 22%). MS (DCI/NH3) m/z 329 (M+H)+.
