Procedure
After sodium (20 mg, 0.870 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (3 ml), 4-chloro-6-(3-fluorophenyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-2-pyrimidinylamine (50 mg, 0.166 mmol) was added thereto and the mixture was stirred under an atmosphere of nitrogen gas at 60 to 65° C. for 30 minutes. After cooling as it was, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate. Then, the mixture was washed with an aqueous ammonium chloride solution thrice and brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and concentrated. To the residue was added diethyl ether, and the resulting precipitates were collected by filtration and washed with diethyl ether, to give the title compound (16 mg, 32%) as a colorless solid.
