A mixture of N2-[4-(2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazol-1-yl)phenyl]pyridine-2,3-diamine (20 mg) and 1,1′-carbonyldiimidazole (19 mg) in THF (5 mL) was stirred at ambient temperature overnight. After this time, the solids that formed were collected by filtration to afford 3-[4-(2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-a]benzimidazol-1-yl)phenyl]-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one (12 mg) as off-white crystals.
