The mixture of 3-[4-(benzyloxy)phenyl]-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one (300 mg), cyclopropylboronic acid (731 mg), TEA (1976 μl), pyridine (1835 μl), copper(II) acetate (1030 mg) and THF (4727 μl) was heated at 140° C. for 30 min under microwave irradiation. The solid was removed by filtration, and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography (NH silica gel, eluted with 0%-30% EtOAc in hexane) to give 3-[4-(benzyloxy)phenyl]-1-cyclopropyl-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-one (120 mg) as white crystals.
