To a solution of 5-bromo-2-methyl-6-(5-methyl-3-phenyl-isoxazol-4-ylmethoxy)-N-(tetrahydro-pyran-4-yl)-nicotinamide (150 mg, 0.37 mmol) in methanol (3 mL) and THF (3 mL) was added under an argon atmosphere palladium on charcoal (10%, 20 mg) and ammonium formate (70 mg, 1.12 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred for 6 h at ambient temperature. Filtration over Hyflo® and washing with THF afforded the title compound (29 mg, 20%) which was obtained as a light brown semi-solid. MS: m/e=408.3 [M+H]+.
