10% Palladium on charcoal (0.8 g) was added to a solution of the compound obtained from step b above (1.8 g) in tetrahydrofuran (15 mL) at room temperature, and hydrogen was supplied at 50 psi in a Paar apparatus for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through a celite pad and concentrated to afford the title compound (1.8 g).
