According to the method described in example 1c 6-bromo-2-methyl-5-nitro-3H-pyrimidin-4-one (example 1a) was treated with 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-thieno-[2,3-d]azepine [J. Heterocycl. Chem. (1985), 22(4), 1011-16] in N,N-dimethylformamide in the presence of N-ethyl-di-isopropylamine at room temperature to yield the title compound as yellow solid; m.p.>200° C.; MS: [M−H]−=305.
