Procedure
5-(1-(N-Methyl-tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-2-(2-naphthyl)ethyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.77 g, 1.8 mmol) was dissolved in a saturated solution of hydrogen chloride in ethyl acetate (15 ml). After 5 h at 20° C. the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give 0.72 g of (R) 5-(1-methylamino-2-(2-naphthyl)ethyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride.
