6 g (0.105 mol) of methyl isocyanate were added to a solution of 12.6 g (0.1 mol) of 1-isopropyl-4-hydroxy-pyrazole in 100 ml of acetone and 2 drops of triethylamine. The mixture was stirred at 45° C. for 12 hours and the solvent was then distilled off in vacuo. 17.4 g (95% of theory) of N-methyl-carbamic acid O-(1-iso-propylpyrazol-4-yl) ester were thus obtained in the form of beige crystals with a melting point of 40° C.
