After adding 3-nitrophenol (243 mg), potassium carbonate (268 mg) and dimethylformamide (2 ml) to the 4-chloro-5,6-dimethyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]-pyrimidine (177 mg) described in journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1996, Vol. 39, No. 12, 2285–2292, the mixture was stirred at 120–130° C. for 72 hours. This was returned to room temperature, water was added, extraction was performed with a tetrahydrofuran and ethyl acetate mixed solution, and then the organic layer was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and concentrated to dryness. The obtained crystals were washed with diethyl ether to obtain the title compound (130 mg).
