A solution of 5-cyclopropyl-2H-pyrazol-3-ylamine (172 mg, 1.4 mmol) in 5 ml of THF was added dropwise to a solution of 2,4-dichloro-6-phenyl-[1,3,5]triazine (452 mg, 2 mmol) (ref: WO 0125220, p.190) and diisopropylethylamine (0.35 ml, 2 mmol) in 15 ml of THF at room temperature then stirred for 18 hours. The reaction was filtered and the filtrate evaporated in vacuo and the residue purified by flash chromatography (SiO2) eluting with 8:2 dichloromethane: ethyl acetate to afford 233 mg of the desired product. HPLC: Rt 6.803 mins. MS: m/z 313.0 (M+H)
