PROCEDURE

实验过程

A mixture of 3-(1-adamantyl)-4-methoxymethoxy-bromobenzene (8.48 g, 24.16 mmol), 4-formylphenylboronic acid (3.99 g, 26.57 mmol) and potassium carbonate (10.02 g, 72.47 mmol) in 300 mL of toluene:EtOH (4:1) and water (15 mL) was degassed with argon for 30 minutes. Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) (2.79 g, 2.41 mmol) was added and the mixture heated at reflux for 14 hours. The solution was cooled to room temperature, diluted with ethyl acetate and washed successively with water and brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered and evaporated. The residue was purified on silica gel (eluent: hexane:ether, 95:5) to give 7.01 g of 4-[3-(1-adamantyl)-4-methoxymethoxyphenyl]benzaldehyde (78%) as a solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz; CDCl3): δ 1.80 (s, 6H), 2.10–2.17 (m, 9H), 3.55 (s, 3H), 5.29 (s, 2H), 7.20 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.44 (dd, J1=8.7 Hz, J2=2.4 Hz, 1H), 7.52 (d, J=2.4 Hz, 2H), 7.72 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 2H), 7.92 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 2H), 10.03 (s, 1H).
