The product from Example 51 (1.6 g, 4.4 mmol) was dissolved in CH2 Cl2 (30 mL), treated with activated charcoal and filtered. To this filtrate was then added 6N HCl in dioxane (0.9 mL, 4.4 mmol) followed by Et2O (100 mL). The precipitated product was filtered, washed with Et2O, and dried in vacuo.
