A solution of 3-(bromomethyl)isoquinolin-1(2H)-one and PPh3 (1.8 g, 6.87 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (50 mL) was refluxed for 2 h. After cooling to room temperature, the reaction mixture was filtered to give the desired product (317 mg). LC-MS: m/z 420 (M+H+).
