12C (15 g, 0.05 mol) was added to MeOH (52 ml) and dichloromethane (52 mL). To the mixture was added K2CO3 (7 g, 0.05 mol) in batches at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperture, then neutralized with diluted hydrochloric acid to pH=6˜7, extracted with dichloromethane, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and concentrated to give 12D (8 g, 62.1% yield).
