To a solution of 6-(1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamido)-6′-methoxy-3-methyl-2,3′-bipyridine-5′-carboxylic acid (72 mg, 0.15 mmol), dimethyl amine (10 mg, 0.23 mmol), and triethylamine (42 μL, 0.30 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (1 mL) was added O-(7-azabenzotriazol-1-yl)-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyluronium hexafluorophosphate (68 mg, 0.18 mmol) and the reaction mixture was stirred at 80° C. overnight. The crude reaction mixture was purified by silica gel chromatography (eluting with 0-100% ethyl acetate in hexanes) to yield the product (51 mg, 67%). ESI-MS m/z calc. 510.49. found 511.5 (M+1)+. Retention time 1.81 minutes.
