2-Chloro-4-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)benzonitrile (1.45 g, 7.13 mmol) was reacted with N-Boc-(R)-1-amino-2-propanol (1.50 g, 8.56 mmol) in the presence of triphenylphosphine and DIAD using the method of Example 99. After Boc-deprotection 843 mg (45%) of the title compound was obtained. 1H-NMR (400 MHz; d6-DMSO): δ 1.43 (d, 3H), 3.53-3.67 (m, 1H), 4.29-4.38 (m, 1H), 4.69-4.83 (m, 1H), 6.96 (d, 1H), 7.89 (d, 1H), 7.95 (dd, 1H), 7.97 (dd, 1H), 8.10-8.12 (m, 1H). m/z [260.7+1].
