220 mg (644 μmol) of -tert.-butyl-[(2S)-1-(benzyloxy)-3-phenylpropane-2-yl]carbamate (intermediate 30) were dissolved in 11 ml of a 4 N hydrogen chloride solution diluted in dioxane and stirred for 1 hour at RT. Then, the batch was evaporated and the residue vacuum dried. The yield was 138 mg (77% o. th.) of the title compound.
