To a solution of (S)-ethyl 2-tert-butoxy-2-(7-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-(2-chloropyridin-4-yl)-5-methylbenzo[d]thiazol-6-yl)acetate (28 mg, 0.053 mmol) in anhydrous THF (1.2 mL, degassed) was added Pd2(dba)3 (3 mg, 0.05 eq.), XantPhos (5 mg, 0.15 eq.), 1H-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyridin-3(2H)-one (14 mg, 2 eq.) and Cs2CO3 (35 mg, 2 eq.). The reaction mixture was heated at 100° C. for 2 h, cooled and partitioned between ethyl acetate and brine. The organic layer was separated, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to give crude which was purified by chromatographic column to afford the desired product.
