To an ambient solution of Example 54D (0.100 g, 0.186 mmol) in dichloromethane (1 mL) was added trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 ml). The reaction was stirred for 0.5 h, and the solution was then carefully added to a slurry of K2CO3 (3.0 g, 21.7 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 mL). After the evolution of gas ceased, the mixture was heated to 40° C. for 1 h. The mixture was cooled to room temperature and was diluted with water (10 mL). The layers were separated, and the aqueous was extracted with additional dichloromethane (2×10 mL). The combined organic layers were dried with anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title product, which was used in the subsequent step without further purification. MS (ESI) m/z 268 [M+H]+.
