{3-[4-Bromo-2-(2-oxo-oxazolidin-3-ylmethyl)-phenoxy]-phenyl}-acetic acid ethyl ester (0.1 g, 0.23 mmol), 1-methylpyrazole-4-boronic acid pinacol ester (0.06 g, 0.27 mmol), and potassium carbonate (0.1 g, 0.66 mmol) were combined in DME (3 mL) and H2O (1 mL) and degassed with N2 for 10 minutes. Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) (0.025 g, 0.022 mmol) was added, and the reaction was stirred at 80° C. for 2 hours to give the title compound, which was directly as a crude solution in the hydrolysis step.
