To a solution of methyl 3-(5-methylpyridin-2-yl)-5-(1-methyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-5-yl)benzoate (85 mg, 0.276 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was added 1 M aqueous sodium hydroxide (0.827 mL, 0.827 mmol) and water (4 mL). After 16 h, the reaction was acidified to pH 1 by 1 M HCl. The solution was concentrated and dried under vacuum to give the hydrochloride salt of title compound (95 mg). MS 295.0 (M+1).
