A solution of 147 mg (0.29 mmol) {5-[4-(2-methoxy-ethyl)-2-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidin-5-ylmethoxy]-indol-1-yl}-acetic acid ethyl ester and 0.9 ml 1N lithium hydroxide solution in 1.5 ml THF were stirred over night at RT. The reaction mixture was partitioned between ether, 1N HCl and water. The residue was suspended in ether/heptane 1:9 and the resulting crystals were filtered off to give 118 mg of pure {5-[4-(2-methoxy-ethyl)-2-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidin-5-ylmethoxy]-indol-1-yl}-acetic acid.
