Reagents, catalysts & solvents 1
Procedure
A mixture of 10.1 g Pyridin-4-ol and 10 g 1-Fluoro-4-nitro-benzene and 46.1 g Cs2CO3 in 30 mL DMF was stirred at RT for 2 h. This solution was poured on to 300 mL of water and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to yield a bright yellow crystalline product, which was dried in vacuo. Yield: 11.2 g.
