A mixture of 3.0 g (12.8 mM) of the phenyl carbamate 8, and 1.6 g (12.8 mM) of 4,6-dimethyl-2-aminopyridine in 50 ml of anhydrous DMF was heated at 55° C. for 8 hrs., cooled, and poured into 200 ml water. The resulting precipitate was collected and recrystallized from ethyl acetate to give 1.3 g of the above urea as a light yellow solid, m.p. 192°-193° C.
