To a stirred suspension of 2.6 (23 mM) of creatinine in 50 ml of anhydrous DMF was added a solution of 3.0 g (23 mM) of 3-thienyl isocyanate in 25 ml of toluene. The resulting mixture was heated at 75° C. for 4.5 hrs., cooled and added to 150 ml of water. The resulting precipitate was collected and recrystallized from ethyl acetate to give 1.4 g of the above urea as a cream colored solid, m.p. 194°-195° C.
