Procedure

In a solution of 0.70 g of 2-bromo-4-[5-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydroisoxazole-3-yl]benzoic acid methyl ester synthesized similarly to Step 1 of Synthetic Example 10 in 20 ml of tetrahydrofuran and 10 ml of water, 0.18 g of phenyl boric acid, 0.39 g of potassium carbonate and 0.05 g of dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine) palladium (II) were added, and stirred under reflux with heat for 1.5 hour. After the completion of the reaction, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, the residue was poured in 30 ml of water, then extracted with ethyl acetate (50 ml×1). The organic phase was washed with water, dehydrated with saturated sodium chloride aqueous solution and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and then the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure. The residue was purified with silica gel column chromatography that was eluated with ethyl acetate, and 0.78 g of the aimed product was obtained as brown resinous substance.
